High Quality Hand Knit Shawls, Wraps, Accessories and Unique Pincushions
Through her company, Phillips and Lloyd, Elizabeth offers her one-of-a-kind designs inspired by a family heritage spanning from the Highlands of Scotland to the mountains of North Carolina. Her hand knitted shawls and wraps use yarns from Scotland and around the world. Available free-form beaded shawl pins are a light weight perfect finishing touch to her shawls.
We have now added big, deep, oversized functional handmade quilted tote bags you can have in funky, cool or boho colors. These bags were designed to hold a whole sweater while it was being knitted, to carry a whole quilt’s worth of fabric to quilt class or to bring home a finished quilt. Each bag is made using quilt shop quality fabrics with dense hand guided machine quilting using either a Sashiko machine which gives a hand quilted stitch look or regular long-arm quilting machine.
Pincushions are the newest line in Elizabeth's shop. Styles include a Pin, Needle and Scissors Keepers Set made from Isle of Skye Tartan; flannel and wool pincushions in fun and funky motifs including a Celtic Moons Pincushion. The Skye Flocks are hand knitted sheep pincushions. The pincushions include a needlesharpener material, so these are not intended to be a toy for child or pet.
All her items were made in a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. The cat may have watched the shawls being knitted or a bag being quilted, the making of pincushions were of no interest to the cat. There has been no cat contact with any of them after they were finished and packaged ready for shipping.
